The Rope Gripper™ is the device to protect passengers from the danger and injuries caused by an elevator’s overspeed in the up and down direction, or when the car leaves a floor with the doors opened.
Gum Young General Co. Ltd. introduced the “Rope Gripper™” from Hollister Whitney Co., a leading company in elevator safety devices, by exclusive agent at 1996, and succeeded in localizing it. By obtaining CSA certificate in Canada, which have supreme authority in elevator safety certification, and CE certificate in EU, TX certificate in China, and BEEC certificate in Japan, Gum Young General has been approved its safety and good quality by worldwide customers. Now Gum Young General is exporting Rope Gripper™ in finished product to China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia, and components made in Korea to US.
Thanks to the excellent technology, GUMYOUNG GENERAL has won the Award of Vice Minister(2006), the Award of the Prime Minister(2006) and the Award of Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Energy(2007). The company person said “We will make all our effort to secure the global market on the basis of a world technology accumulated for 10 years.”
GUMYOUNG GENERAL is proceeding the plan to make inroads into elevator market after set on its way at the safty breaking device field.
